Driver

D.W.E. Legg & Son is looking for a reliable and friendly Delivery Driver to join our family-run fresh produce business in Winnersh.

The role involves delivering fresh fruit, vegetables and other produce to restaurants, schools, hotels, caterers, offices and homes within the local area. You will help load and organise customer orders, complete deliveries safely and on time, and provide a helpful and professional service to our customers.

Key responsibilities include:

• Loading the delivery vehicle and checking orders before departure
• Delivering fresh produce safely and efficiently
• Following planned delivery routes and schedules
• Providing friendly and professional customer service
• Handling delivery paperwork and reporting any order issues
• Keeping the vehicle clean, tidy and roadworthy
• Helping with general warehouse duties when required

The ideal candidate will be dependable, punctual and comfortable with the physical demands of loading and unloading boxes of produce. You should have good local knowledge, take pride in providing excellent service and be able to work independently as part of a friendly team.

A suitable full UK driving licence will be required. Previous delivery-driving experience would be helpful, although the right attitude, reliability and willingness to learn are equally important.
