Computer Repair Technician

Uni Computers is looking for a knowledgeable and dependable Computer Repair Technician to join our friendly team in Winnersh.

For more than 20 years, we have provided computer and laptop repairs and IT support to homes and businesses across the Wokingham area. This role involves diagnosing faults, carrying out repairs and upgrades, and helping customers get their technology working properly again.

Key responsibilities include:

• Diagnosing hardware and software faults on desktop computers and laptops
• Repairing and upgrading Windows PCs, Apple Macs and laptops
• Replacing faulty components, including screens, drives, memory and power supplies
• Removing viruses and malware
• Installing operating systems, software and updates
• Assisting with data recovery and backup solutions
• Building and upgrading custom PCs
• Setting up networks, Wi-Fi and other computer equipment
• Explaining technical problems and solutions clearly to customers
• Keeping accurate records of repairs, parts and work completed

The ideal candidate will have practical experience repairing computers and laptops, strong fault-finding skills and a good understanding of both hardware and software. You should be patient, reliable and comfortable dealing directly with home and business customers.

Experience with Windows systems is essential, while experience repairing Apple products, recovering data, building custom PCs or providing network support would be an advantage.
